It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unfortunate passing of our beloved brother and uncle, Fernando de Brito, 68, of Middleboro, MA, who died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025.
Fernando was born in Terceira, Azores on April 3, 1956. He emigrated to Taunton in 1966. Throughout the years, Fernando enjoyed spending time in nature, especially spending time working in landscaping and farming. He also enjoyed spending time with family, attending Portuguese cultural events and traveling back to his homeland with his parents. He had a wonderful sense of humor, was extremely caring, and had a wonderful zest for life.
He is predeceased by his dear partner, Nicole Camacho, his father, Serafim Tomaz de Brito, his mother, Maria de Lourdes Avila de Brito, and his younger brother, Carlos Antonio Avila de Brito. Fernando survives his siblings Dimas de Brito of New York, Ana Silva and Ilidia de Brito of Florida and Camilia de Brito of Massachusetts and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 12:00pm at St Joseph's Cemetery, 475 E. Britannia St. Taunton, MA.
