Fernando "Tony" Antonio Cruz Luna
Dec 28, 1989 - Oct 13, 2025
Fernando Antonio Cruz Luna, lovingly known as Tony Cruz, passed away on October 13, 2025. He was 35 years old.
Tony was a man of deep faith, unwavering dedication, and had boundless love for his family. The best day of Tony's life was the day he married his beloved wife, Erika. Together they shared a bond that brought him profound joy, strength, and purpose. Born in Mexico and raised in Bryan-College Station, Texas, he carried with him a remarkable story, one he had long dreamed of turning into a book. A story of perseverance, identity, and the pursuit of a better life.
A proud graduate of A&M Consolidated High School, Tony continued his education with some college studies but found his greatest success outside the classroom. He had a brilliant mind and a gift for connecting with others, which made him a natural entrepreneur. As a general contractor and business owner, Tony specialized in remodeling work, earning a reputation not only for quality craftsmanship but for building lasting relationships through integrity, dedication, and excellence.
Tony loved a good story and had an incredible memory for the people and moments that shaped his life. He was happiest surrounded by family, fishing, grilling, watching football (especially his beloved Texas A&M Aggies-WHOOP!), or tackling home projects with pride and joy. He was a man of passion: for God, for his work, and above all, for his loved ones.
He is survived by his devoted wife and true love, Erika Cruz, and their cherished children: Brittney, Camila, Emilia, and Daniel Amado. He also leaves behind his loving parents, Fernando Antonio and Elizabeth Cruz; his siblings, Elizabeth Cruz Luna, Rebeca Cruz, and Aaron Alejandro Cruz Luna; and his in-laws Alejandro and Adela Mendez. His extended family includes sisters-in-law Ashley (Juan) Rodriguez and Alejandra (Amadiel) Andablo; brother-in-law Alejandro Mendez; grandmothers Francisca Mendez and Sofia Cortes; and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved and admired him deeply.
Tony was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Abel Luna Contreras and Antonio Cruz Cano.
Tony Cruz lived a life marked by grit, grace, and generosity. He gave everything to his family, never backing down from a challenge, never quitting. His legacy is not only in the work of his hands, but in the love he gave so freely and the example he set for his children.
He will be missed beyond measure but remembered always, with love, laughter, and the stories he told so well.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hillier of College Station. The funeral service will take place the following day, Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM, also at Hillier of College Station. A graveside service will follow at the Aggie Field of Honor & Memorial Cemetery.
