Fernando "Guero" Perez

Fernando "Guero" Perez entered eternal rest on December 11, 2025, at the age of 74. He was born on September 27, 1951, in Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Fernando Perez Rivera and Justa (Loredo Briones) Perez.

He is preceded in death by his parents. Guero leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Orlando Perez and Michele Trevino; daughter, Steffany Perez; cherished granddaughter, Justyne Perez and her husband Abdel DeLeon; treasured great-grandson, AJ DeLeon; ex-wife and friend, Lydia Perez; numerous other loving family members and friends.

Before opening his own business, he worked for eight years in Houston, Texas, at Mortal Hall Ford, where he developed the deep automotive skills that shaped his career. He later became the proud and well-respected owner of Perez Texaco then later Perez Automotive on the Southside of San Antonio for over 30 years. Many could catch his prize '56 Chevy flying down the track during the Alamo Dragway days.

Fernando loved the simple joys of life-fishing, hunting, and building and racing cars with his son. These passions, shared with family and friends, became lasting memories for all who knew him.
