The world has lost someone very special. Fintan Casey..I feel so lucky to have known this extraordinary man bursting with life. He worked so hard and cared about everything he did and always with a smile! His never ending kindness to ever person was so incredible always forgiving and caring of others before himself. His charm and wit were undeniable. I had no idea he was not well. To all of those he loved and who loved him, I am so sorry for such a loss. Remember all the good.. he would have liked that.

When Fintan and I would sit down for a pint or two, he would always talk about family and Sligo. My wife and I visited Ireland often so we had a lot toi talk about. He was a charming, kind, and very funny soul...they discarded the mould when he died.

Uncle Fintan was so kind to our children, Claire and Patrick. He always remembered them on their birthdays and holidays - sending them a card or something special to let them know he cared.
I always enjoyed our conversations about current events, US politics, etc. Fintan was so well read and was like a walking newspaper, brimming with facts and other information.
Our favorite times together were our family dinners at the Nite'N'Gale in Highwood. Fintan, of course, was friends with all the staff, so we always got special treatment. Many a story was told over lasagna (Fintan's favorite) and many a laugh was had. Fintan could tell a story like no other!
We will miss you and always remember you.

I am so sorry for your loss, in hard times such as these i´d like to share a bible scripture found in Isaiah 63:9, God sees your distress and feels it too. With love and compassion he will lift you up and carry you.

I would occasionally help Fintan years ago when he needed a driver for his paving business. He was a delightful Irishman...kind, considerate, and hilariously funny. He would fondly discuss his family here and in Co. Sligo, and would regale me with stories and tales told in his inimitable fashion while sitting in our yard sharing a pint or two.
RIP good friend...may the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand.
