In loving memory of Flora E. Beddow, who went to be with our Lord on August 28, 2024.
She was born on September 5, 1943, to Walter G. Smith and Mary (Fucconi) Smith in Terre Haute, IN. Flora was one of ten children.
On June 25, 1958, Flora married the love of her life, Donald L. Beddow, he preceded her in death after 54 years of marriage.
By the age of twenty, Flora was raising four children, Ricky D. (Sharon) Beddow, Larry J. (Kimberly) Beddow, Lauri (Rick) Grammer and a daughter who preceded her in death, Rhonda (Chuck) Gallant.
Flora was a strong, caring and loving mother, grandmother of eight and great grandmother of eleven.
Maverick was her puppy dog, and she loved him with all her heart.
On Sunday's Flora enjoyed dinners with family and friends.
She fought many battles in her lifetime, starting with Polio in her childhood, and eventually losing her five-year battle with cancer. She always kept a positive attitude.
Taco Tuesdays were her favorite lunch after a treatment.
Life is short but memories are forever. We love you mom.
A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don't worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes, we're together again."
