Publish in a newspaper

Flora Mae Blair, age 83 of Clay Township, Michigan passed away peacefully at her home the evening of September 19, 2025. Born August 11, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to Fernando A. Marchione and Bernice C. Marchione (nee; Rossi). Flora enjoyed a simple but beautiful childhood filled with family driving vacations to New York, Maine and Quebec, summers with her sister at their Nonnie & Nonna's farm and long sunny days playing outside "until the street lights came on". She enjoyed playing the card games I'll Take It and Tripolli, gifting Santa Bears at Christmas time and always had Winter Green mints and Kleenex handy but more than anything Flora Mae was known to love shopping and pampering herself with trips to the beauty shop to have her make-up and nails done. Her life long appreciation for bling-bling and the finer things earned her the affectionate moniker "Charlotte Ford" from her dad.

After graduating from High School Flora went to work as a receptionist, a career she would maintain with various companies throughout her life. She fell in love in her twenties and on July 21, 1967 Flora Mae Marchione married Armand "Chico" Blair Jr. They were blessed with a long life together sharing a generosity of spirit, of time spent with others, a joy for gift giving and spoiling their loved ones and a deep faith in God for the strength to carry them through all things including the death of her beloved Chico after 58 years together on July 4th of this year.

Sister to Mary Lou (Marco) Bommarito, Aunt to 11 nieces & nephews; Lisa (Gordie) Dawson, Mark Anthony, Michelle and Nicole Bommarito, Dina, Anna Mary, David II, William, Michael Jr., Armand and Amanda, Great Aunt of 23; Anthony, Maria, Dominic, Atherium, Gabriela, Diego, Alexandria, Megan, Nathan, Julia, Avary, Anthony, Michael III, Ari, Mikayla, McKenzie, Aubrey, Kaylyn Rose, Scarlett, Scott, Noah, Erik, and Alivia, Great Great Aunt to Bennet and Sister-in-Law of David (Tanya) Blair, Mary Anna (Rick) Blair-Burgett and Anna Mary (Michael) Rejniak.

Flora Mae Blair will lie Instate 9:00AM Monday, October 6, 2025 until time of Mass, 10:00AM at San Francesco Catholic Church, 22870 S. Nunneley, Clinton Township, Michigan 48035. Memorials in her honor may be directed to the Michigan Lupus Foundation.
