Flora Bone Culpepper

Flora Bone Culpepper, 93, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, May 28, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, June 1, 2023 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Jonathan Merritt officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private interment will be held at the Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum at Parkhill Cemetery following the service.
Mrs. Culpepper was born February 2, 1930 in Shellman, GA daughter of the late Benjamin W. and Julie Mae Vickery Bone. She retired after 31 years as a teacher from the Muscogee County School District. She received her BS degree from Georgia Southern and her Master's degree from Auburn University. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and a member of the Joy Sunday School Class.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Floyd A. Bone; sister, Margaret Bone; and sister-in-law, Martha K. Bone.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel L. Culpepper, Sr. of Columbus, GA; son, Daniel L. Culpepper, Jr (Debi Woodruff) of Columbus, GA; granddaughters, Carli D. Culpepper, Chelsea Culpepper (Jeremy Cosper), Christina Casey; great grandchildren; Joseph Scroggins, Ravi Jain; brother, Benjamin W. Bone, Jr. of Columbus, GA.
