I love ya Googie. I'm just sorry we didn't get to share more time as adults. But I will always have our childhood memories. May God be good to you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Flora and I met when I was ten and she was twelve. We hadn't stopped being friends and she will always be my best friend. She was smart, well read, an avid crossword fan, loved to travel especially to England, to shop. QVC loved her. Flora was godmother to my children and great godmother to their children. We became closer than sisters and even when we didn't see each other we could pick up the moment we saw each other. She loved her sister's three children who are now adults with their own children. She was very proud of each of them and explained to me how each of them were doing. This year will be the first year that we do not spend Labor Day, Thanksgiving and New Year's eve together. I have such good memories of our childhood, teen years, and adult years that I may eventually stop mourning her death. It has been 2 long days filled with the sad recognition we won't be growing old together. We didn't mind that growing old thing because Flora may have been 71 in body but her mind and spirit was that of a fiesty and spirited woman perhaps at age 28. As far as I know she passed peacefully and that is all I can think about. See you sometime FLora. Arlee.
