Florence Mary Bercik

Florence Mary Bercik, formerly of Milford, CT, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on November 9, 1936, in Bridgeport, CT, to the late John and Florence Ulanowicz Rusbarsky.

Florence's legacy is lovingly carried on by her sons, Frank Bercik and his wife Cheryl, Steven Bercik and his wife Karen, and Gregory Bercik and his wife Laura. Her brother, John Rusbarsky and his wife Sharon. Florence will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Alexandra Bercik and her husband Jacob Dohmann, Jade Bercik, Jordan Bercik, Matthew Bercik, and Mackenzie Bercik. Her nephew, David Rusbarsky and his wife Gale, and niece, Christine LaGrasse and her husband Derek, along with great-nieces Adelaide Rose LaGrasse and Victoria Elsie LaGrasse, will hold dear the wisdom and love she imparted.

Florence's professional life was spent in the service of others, working for the Milford, CT School District as a cook in a school cafeteria.

In her leisure time, Florence was a familiar face at the Wake Forest Senior Center, where she engaged with her community and indulged in her passion for knitting, collecting recipes, cooking and baking.

Described by all who knew her as loving, thoughtful, and kind, Florence's impact on the world was as gentle as it was profound.

As we bid farewell to Florence Mary Bercik, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey marked by the countless lives she touched. Her spirit, a blend of grace and resilience, will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. The love she shared will resonate for generations to come.
