Florence Charitos Obituary
She and her beloved husband Dionysios "Dino" would have celebrated their 57th anniversary in May 2026.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late James and Anna (Patnselinou) Monioudis.
She was the owner and operator of the Red Cedar Grille in Colmar, PA.
Mrs. Charitos was known as a fierce Yia-Ya. Florence enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling on various cruises and day trips with her daughter. She also enjoyed spending time with her husband "Dino" and their long trips to the casino.
In addition to her husband, Florence is survived by her children; Demetri Charitos and his wife Antoinette of Milford, DE., Theophilos Charitos and his wife Stacey of Gilbertsville, PA.. Katrina Lohn and her husband Daniel of Langhorne, PA., and Christos Charitos and his wife Bethany of Souderton, PA.; ten grandchildren: Dino, Deanna, Christos, Lucas, Theano, Alexander, Jackson, Mikie, Elaini, and Nikos. Florence is also survived by a nephew John Monioudis.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 7921 Old York Road, Elkins Park PA. 19027. Family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Graveside Services will follow the Mass in the Lawn View Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge PA. 19046.
In addition to flowers, contributions in Florence's honor can be made to the American Lung Association National Direct Response PO Box 756 Osceola WI 54020-0756.
