Florence M. Dahl
November 4, 2025
Florence M. Dahl, age 93 formerly of Lily Lake, Wisconsin, died November 4, 2025. Florence was born in Cleveland, Ohio. The daughter of the late Anton and Alvina (Maas) Skiba. While in high school, she discovered her love for music, majoring in music and voice, and competing at the state level. At age 16, she moved to Camp Lake, Wisconsin, where she attended Wilmot High School and continued pursuing her passion for choir. It was there she met the love of her life, Arnold Dahl, whom she married in 1952 in Wilmot, Wisconsin. Arnold preceded her in death on June 27, 2015.
Throughout her life, Florence worked in a variety of roles, including at Nash, as a waitress, cook at St. Al's, and later at New Way Speakers and Galdine Electronics.
Florence found great joy in spending time with her family and rarely missed her grandchildren's sporting events. A devoted fan of the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers, she also enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and the occasional slot machine. She was especially known for her delicious Christmas cookies, lamb cakes, raisin bread, and pound cake-family favorites that will be lovingly remembered. Faith was an important part of Florence's life. She served as Secretary of Home and School at Holy Name, taught CCD, sang in the choir, and was a proud member of St. Ann's Society.
Florence will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and the love she shared so freely with everyone around her.
Loving mother to Michael Dahl, Cheryl (Robert) Vanderwerff, Allen (Linda) Dahl, and Christine Kayser. Grandmother of 11; great-grandmother of 15; step grandmother of 4; and step great-grandmother of 7. Further survived by her sister Mildred Stockwell. She was preceded in death by her son Edward Dahl; and brother Frank Skiba.
