Florence H. Dudley

Florence Howarth Dudley passed away peacefully at home Monday, April 8, 2013. Beloved mother to five children, "Nina" to three grandchildren and one great grandchild, devoted wife to husband James and much loved teacher to countless preschool children. Her number 1 rule… "Be nice." She maintained her positive attitude and feistiness until she lost her battle with ALS. Florence touched many lives and left many life-long memories. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her. In her own words - "I taught pre-school children for 22 years, sold real estate for 8 years, owned and managed a plant nursery for 10 years and I remained married for 58 years to the same man with the high and the low years. Now I can rest." Survived by husband James S. Dudley, sister Barbara Pires, brother Robert Garcia, children Lisa Nicolello, Tracy Dudley, James J. Dudley, Julie Dudley, David Dudley, grandchildren Troy Dickey, Maci Vranicar, Justin Dudley and great granddaughter Kylie Jo Brown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County or the ALS Foundation. Visitation Sunday, April 14, 10:00am to 1:00pm at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, Jupiter, FL. Private burial service to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
