Florence E. Fite
Florence E. Fite, age 100, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Alden Estates of Shorewood, IL. She was born on March 28, 1925 in Royalton, MN, daughter of the late Martha (Kalis) and John J. Zack.
Florence is survived by her four sons, Ray H. Fite, Jeffery (Judy) Fite, Gary (Linda) Fite, and James (Mary Beth) Fite; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann (the late Richard) LeMieur; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray W. Fite; great-granddaughter, Alexandria Rae Stojanov; brothers, Wilfred Zack and Alvin Zack; and sister, Irene Sobieck.
A Memorial Visitation for Florence E. Fite will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd), Joliet, IL, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
