Born in New York City, Florence graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Yonkers, NY. She then attended the Wood School in New York and later in life, the College of St. Elizabeth in Convent Station.
Florence was deeply devoted to her husband, family and faith. She and her husband, John, were married for over 63 years. They moved to Chatham in 1976 to raise their 2 sons, Richard and Christopher. Florence was an active member of the Corpus Christi Parish community in Chatham Township.
In her younger years, Florence was an equestrian, riding horses and participating in competitions. In addition to horses, she had a love for all animals. She also loved vacationing in Maine.
Florence was the beloved wife of the late John. She is survived by her sons, Richard Hefele and Christopher Hefele; and her four cherished grandchildren.
