Florence V. Hesse

Hesse, Florence V. (McLaughlin) age 83, of Burnsville, died peacefully on April 15, 2006. Beloved wife of Edward Hesse, who survives her. Preceded in death by her parents, Arthur & Myrtle McLaughlin; twin brothers, George and Raymond McLaughlin; sister, Helen Krier. Survived by sister, Neva Glisky, sister-in-law, Joyce McLaughlin; and numerous nephews, nieces, grandnieces and nephews, and cousins. Florence exemplified the "greatest generation" - her childhood was spent between Halloway, MN and summers on Straight Lake, Osage, MN. As a young woman she worked hard to support the troops and support her family. She was the smiling face behind the counter at Mac's Mercantile, a family business. While working, she met Edward, the love of her life, whom she spent 46 happy years with. In the last years, her mission was to find "lost" cousins, nieces and nephews and bring them back to the family. She is always loved and will be missed for her steadfast love, her devotion to friends and family and her contributions to her church and community. Service Wednesday, 11 AM, St. James Lutheran Church, 3650 Williams Drive, Burnsville. Visitation Tues., 6-8 PM at the church. Interment Sunset Memorial Park.
