Florence S. Jacques

Florence S. (Misilo) Jacques, 89, passed away Tuesday, June 7th after being stricken ill in UMass Memorial Medical Center. Florence's husband, Donald A. Jacques passed away in 1998. She leaves a son, Donald A. Jacques and his wife, Barbara of Tolland, CT; a daughter, Lisa J. Gregoire and her husband, Barry of Webster; three grandchildren, Christopher, Julia and Arthur; three great grandchildren, Anthony, Gwendolyn and Savannah; a sister, Genevieve Simmons and her husband, Robert of Lakeland, FL; a brother, Henry A. Misilo and his wife, Jean of Pompano Beach, FL; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Anthony and Sophie (Stoklosa) Misilo; a sister, Stefanie Sokol and her husband, Henry and a sister-in-law, Carol Misilo. Florence was born in Worcester where she graduated from the former Commerce High School in Worcester. She worked many years at the Telegram & Gazette Newspaper in Worcester. Florence has lived in Sutton since 1955. She was a women of great faith and was one of the founding members of St. Mark's Church in Sutton. Florence enjoyed reading, playing cards with her poker group and working in her vegetable garden. She was a member of the Sutton Senior Center and was the Sunshine Lady, sending birthday and get well wishes to the members. Florence and her husband spent summers on Cape Cod. She was a devoted wife and mother who will be greatly missed. Florence's calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 12th from 1 to 3 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main Street in Millbury. Her funeral will be held on Monday, June 13th with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mark's Church, 356 Boston Road in Sutton. Burial will follow in Howard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
