Florence Krauk Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A. - Westminster on Jan. 5, 2026.
Florence "Flo" Janice Krauk, 90, of Finksburg, MD passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025 at BridgingLife Hospice Dove House. Born on March 3, 1935 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late Janice Evelyn Sonnenburg and John Barcafer Norfolk, step-daughter of Joseph Brown Collins. She was the loving wife of Robert Samuel Krauk of Baltimore for 74 happy years.

As a child Florence grew up with her family in their Baltimore bakery called Sonnenburg's Bakery. Florence was a student at Eastern High School and later proudly receiving her GED. She was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker to 5 children. Flo was actively involved in her children's education volunteering countless hours of service at their schools. She was also an active and loved member of Sandymount United Methodist Church in Finksburg, MD.

Florence loved her family. There were always happy weekly family get togethers throughout the years, as well as celebrations of holidays and other special occasions. She and Bob loved the beach and spent much time there at their Ocean City house. They also enjoyed going on cruises traveling to many islands throughout the Caribbean.

Flo made friends everywhere she went, always with a big smile and twinkle in her eyes. Her personality was larger than life and her laugh contagious.

Florence is survived by her husband Robert and their children Diane Krauk McGrath (Kevin), Robert Samuel Krauk (Shari), Donna Krauk Sabol (George) and David Robert Krauk (Jon Tutolo) and sadly predeceased by their daughter Debra Krauk Meekins and her husband Larry Eugene Meekins. She was the very proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at Sandymount United Methodist Church in Finksburg, MD on December 31, 2025 for family and friends.

Florence's spark will not diminish… but burn bright through her family. She will be forever in our hearts.
