Florence Lanzetta

Florence Lanzetta, 99, of West Windsor, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Bear Creek Assisted Living in West Windsor surrounded by her loving family.
Born and raised in Long Branch, she was a graduate of Barringer High School in Newark, NJ. She later met her husband, Joseph M. Lanzetta, on a blind date. They went to Coney Island and hit it off. They married on June 29, 1947. They raised their three sons Joseph, Edward, and Michael together. Florence was employed with CVS in East Windsor where she was a cashier for many years. She was a member of St. Anthony's RC Church. She also played in a Ladies' Golf League at Cranbury Golf Club for several years.
In her spare time, she loved to play golf, sew and cook. She was an avid Scrabble player. Above all else, Florence adored her family and cherished every moment she spent with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who affectionately called her "GG".
Predeceased by her parents, Edward and Jennie (Genna) Petti, her husband of 56 years, Joseph M. Lanzetta, Jr., her son, Edward Lanzetta and her siblings, Josephine, Andrew and Charles; she is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph, III and Nancy Lanzetta of East Windsor and Michael and Pamela Lanzetta of Hightstown; her 12 grandchildren and their spouses, Nicole and Michael Mulry, Catherine Lanzetta, Florence Lanzetta, Joseph, IV and Kathleen Lanzetta, Jennifer De la Cruz-Munoz, Jo Lanzetta, Edward Lanzetta, Christine Keller, Andrew Keller, Michael and Charlie Bertalan, Samuel K. Lanzetta De la Cruz-Munoz and Mario and Amanda Lanzetta; her 12 great-grandchildren; and her many nieces, nephews, and loving family members.
Funeral services will begin on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, NJ.
Cremation will be private.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, NJ.
