Florence Mehrhoff Obituary
Florence E. Mehrhoff died at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday December 31, 2022 at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital. Born in Rural Eldred, IL the fourth daughter of Joseph John Langer and Eunice Marie (Walter) Langer. She married the former Mather "Poncho" Reif September 25, 1938 and he preceded her in Death on November,21,1959. She married Richard D. Mehrhoff February 13, 1965, and he Survives.
She is survived by a Daughter Rebecca (Steve) Lee of Wrights, IL. and son Gary (Linda) Reif of Jacksonville, IL. And 5 grandsons Stephen, Scott, Dirk, Greg and Chris. And 9 great grandchildren Travis, Brandon, Ashli, Dorson, Jaron, Brianna, Corey, Elliott and Aiden, and 5 great-great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two great granddaughters Angela Lee and Rissa Reif and 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Florence was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Carrollton. She was a charter member of the Lutheran Ladies Aid, member of the Carrollton Business and Professional Women's club since 1963, and a member of the Greene County National Bank Bowling Team. She was a Secretary for Dr. Wilson for many years.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2023 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with burial to follow in Carrollton City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services Friday at the church. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com. In Leu of flowers donations may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Carrollton, IL.
