Florence H. “Dolly” Seyfert, age 97, passed away peacefully at the Boston Medical Center South on November 6, 2025 with her family by her side She was predeceased by her dear husband of 64 years, Walter A Seyfert who passed in 2011. Born in Randolph, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Sass and Florence H. (Ayers) Sass, and was raised and educated in Randolph, graduating Class of 1945. Dolly married Walter in 1947, they started their lives together in Randolph raising a family and making memories. She worked at Randy’s Shoe then Schmid Brothers of Randolph for many years. Dolly enjoyed gardening, crafting, singing, joking, and making people smile. She was a caring woman that tended to others, but above all she was devoted to her family.
Dolly is survived by her daughter Nancy Decelle and her husband Bob DeCelle of Stoughton, and her daughter in law Diana Seyfert of Pembroke. Dolly was preceded in death by her children Mary Lum and Walter Seyfert She was a loving Grandmother to Brian Decelle, Kevin Decelle and his wife Melissa, Ben Decelle and his wife Gianna, Paul Seyfert and his fiancé Alysa, Jeannine Seyfert, Katie Wilkinson, Eric Lum and the late Andrea Rocha, Dolly has 5 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings Mary Flueckiger, Dorothy Macy, Ruth Schneider, Lawrence Sass, Jr. and George Sass.
Visitation will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Monday November 17th from 5-6:30 PM with Funeral Prayers at 6:30 PM. Interment will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Tuesday, December 2th at 12:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dolly’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America at https://alzfdn.org/donate.
