Florence C. "Florrie" Spangenberg

Florrie, age 93, a longtime resident of Mount Lebanon, PA and recent resident of The Grand Residence at Upper St. Clair, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2025. She was born in Buffalo, NY and attended Wells College. She truly loved working, spending several years in marketing for Aetna Insurance, before marrying and raising her three children. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, William C. and is survived by her son, F William "Bill" (Kathi) Spangenberg; daughter, Florence "Friskie" (Rob) Siebener; and son, Martin (Gina) Spangenberg. She was the adoring grandmother of Eric (Amy) Spangenberg, Ryan (Leanna Plunkett) Spangenberg, Amy (Michael) Voehl, Ana (Levi) McCrady, and Ethan Spangenberg; and the dear great-grandmother of Amelia Spangenberg, Baby Voehl and Baby McCrady, soon to join the world!
Her passions included music and horses – family and food. She played piano beautifully and straddled a horse at age 90 – loving the bucket list checkmark. She was so incredibly proud of her roots and her family. She truly savored food and never passed up a treat.
Most of all, her heart just wasn't big enough for all the kindness and concern she had for others.
A private service will be held for the family.
