Florence was an amazing person. She brought so much joy and happiness to her friends and family. She was the light that lit a room no matter where she went. Her family can attest to that.
Florence was born in Chelsea on 6/11/1929 to Edna and Joseph Grzybinski. She had 2 brothers, Alfred and Leonard who both have passed away. She lived at 44 Medford Street until she married Edward Wiencko on 11/14/1948. She stayed on Medford Street where BettyAnn was born 5/31/1950. She then moved to Bellflower Street in South Boston. Peter was born 12/11/1951 and passed away 4/28/2024. Florence loved living close to the ocean and would take the carriage and walk to Carson beach with her two children. She and Eddie were very happy but decided they wanted to buy a house. They moved to Savin Hill, Dorchester in 1954. Florence and Eddie had a second family as they called it when Paul was born 3/2/1959 and passed away 1/14/2025. Eddie was born 9/9/1960. Savin Hill was the home that family and friends would get together for Vigilia to celebrate Polish Christmas, Easter, 4th of July, barbeques, and of course parties. It was a wonderful place to live. Florence was an amazing cook especially Polish food.
Florence and Eddie purchased a cottage on Lake Wyman, Westminster next to Al and Ed Raymond in 1974. This was another place for family gatherings Everyone loved the lake and had so much fun there. Florence’s first love passed away 12/18/1983.
In 1973 Florence went to work as an Administrative Assistant at Massachusetts Financial Services in Boston. She worked there over 20 years. Florence loved her job and enjoyed the people she worked with.
On 6/10/1990 Florence married Victor Pietkiewicz, her second love. Together they traveled the world. Their excursions included Hawaii, Poland, Egypt, Jerusalem, St. Lucia, Panama Canal, Moscow, Honduras, China, Bermuda, Aruba, Iceland, Scandinavia, Punta Cana, Medjugorje, Sanibel Island, Las Vegas, Montreal, Key West, Alaska, New Orleans, Atlantic City, Cape Cod, and Washington D.C. They enjoyed volunteering and attending activities at the Polish Club in Chelsea. Family gatherings were special times for them. They loved attending celebrations and activities the grandchildren were involved in. They liked going to Lake Wyman. It truly was a family tradition. Victor passed away 6/21/2021.
She leaves a remarkable legacy to her family. Mom, Grammy, Great Grammy will never be forgotten. Florence is survived by her children, Edward Wiencko, BettyAnn, and her husband, Ed Raymond.
