Florencia Cedillo

Florencia Cedillo,
born on January 2, 1944, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, at the age of 82.
Born in Mexico, she later made San Antonio, Texas her home for most of her life, a place where her generous spirit and vibrant personality touched everyone who knew her.

Florencia was a devoted mother to Jose Mario Cedillo, Margarita Padilla, Maria Vidales, and Alma Yuris Perales. She was a proud grandmother to Javier Padilla Jr., Jeremy Padilla, Alex Padilla, Angel Cedillo, Joey Cedillo, Amanda Perales, Amber Perales, Brittani Perales and Flor Cedillo. She was blessed with many great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy.

Florencia was also blessed with a wonderful son-in-law, Juan Carreón, whom she loved dearly and appreciated for the care, kindness, and companionship he brought to her daughter Margarita and the family.

Florencia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose M. Cedillo; by her father, Jesús Romo Leija; by her mother Margarita G Romo; by her brother, Feliciano Romo and by her grandchild Albert lane Cedillo.

She is survived by her loving siblings, who held a special place in her life:
Federico Romo, Ramon Jesús Romo, Rogelio Romo,
Enedina Galván, María Zamora, Martha Randall,
María Castillo, and Sandra Chavez.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who adored her.

Hard-working and loyal, Florencia spent most of her life employed by the same family, forming relationships built on trust and affection. One of her greatest joys was harvesting pecans-picking, peeling, and gifting them to the people she loved. Giving was her way of showing love.

Florencia's heart was enormous. She cared deeply, welcomed everyone, and would do anything for her family. She had a natural green thumb and found peace in her garden, tending to her plants with the same tenderness she showed others.

Her lively spirit was unforgettable. Florencia lived to dance-never shy, always ready to move to the music, anywhere and with anyone. Her joyful presence filled every room she entered.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives were brightened by her warmth, kindness, and love.
