Florianna Lyons, a dedicated professional and beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, in Rockville Centre, New York. Born on January 5, 1944, in Queens, New York, Florianna lived a life marked by commitment and care, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew her.
Throughout her career, Florianna devoted herself to her work at St. Christopher Ottile, where she was known for her unwavering dedication and compassionate spirit. Her colleagues remember her as a dependable and kind-hearted individual whose contributions were immeasurable.
Florianna's personal life was equally rich and cherished. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Deborah Lyons-Birsner and Catherine Lyons, who carry forward her legacy with pride and affection. Her family was further blessed by the presence of four grandchildren and one great-grandchild, each of whom brought great joy and fulfillment to her later years. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hildegard Kosar, whose memories she held dear throughout her life.
