Funeral for Flossie Faye Crisler Gibson, 80, of Decatur will be Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Rhodes officiating.
Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gibson, who died Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, at Summerford Nursing Home, was born Nov. 11, 1927, in Town Creek to Walter Crisler and Dottie Lansdell Crisler. She was a homemaker and a devoted wife to the late Thomas L. Gibson. They were happily married for 61 years, and together they raised four children. She was a loving mother and the center of our family. She will be greatly missed but will live on in the memories of her family.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry L. Gibson and wife, Joan, of Decatur and James L. Gibson and wife, Kathy, of Culleoka, Tenn.; two daughters, Tommie Faye Murphree and husband, Charles, of Trinity and Wanda A. Wilson and husband, James, of Decatur; one sister, Marjorie Dale Brackin of Brownsboro; half-brothers, Greer Crisler, Ussery Crisler and Billy Crisler, all of Town Creek, and Sherman Crisler of Propect, Tenn.; half-sister, Patricia Cleveland of Moulton; stepsisters, Betty Lou Cross and Hazel Gray; grandchildren, Leah Hembree, Tony Murphree, Michelle Eddy, Karen Suggs, Brad Gibson, Heath Gibson, Brandon Gibson, Jamie Wilson, Lisa Wilson and Lori Wilson; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grand-children.
Pallbearers will be Brad Gibson, Heath Gibson, Brandon Gibson, Jamie Wilson, Jake Hembree and Wesley Hembree.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bart Suggs, Jeff Hembree, Terry Eddy and Tony Murphree.
