GROOMS, Mrs. Flossie Mae, of Richmond, departed this life August 18, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Grooms; and her son, Randolph White. She is survived by one son, Robert White Jr.; three daughters, Minister Diana Palmer (Otis), Delores Perry (Dwayne) and Vivian O'Neal; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Adolph and Matthew White (Kathy); one sister, Ruth Webb (Robert); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where the family will receive friends Sunday, 5 to 6 p.m. Remains will lie in state Monday 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Baptist Church, 4247 Creighton Rd., where funeral services will be held at 12 noon. Rev. Dr. Lance D. Watson, pastor. Rev. Gail Jones officiating. Minister Diana Palmer, eulogist. Burial Oakwood Cemetery.

Delores and Family,

I met your mother at MCV hospital many years ago before she retired. She was know for her shy smile and quiteness. She will be missed by the many that knew her.

I met Flossie at dialysis and later we rode the Care Van together, we became friends and I will truly miss her.
