Floyd Warren Bowdish passed away on 12/23/2025 at HopeWest of Grand Junction Co. He was 90 yrs. old. Floyd was born on July 16, 1935, in Mitchell Nebraska to Elmira Lantis Bowdish and Craig Warren Bowdish where he was one of ten brothers and sisters. He grew up in Wheatland Wyoming where he attended Wheatland high school. He served our country in the U.S. Marines and was involved in the Korean war. He met Leddy King and they were married on April 5, 1958. They celebrated 67 years together. Floyd and Leddy made their way to Delta Colorado where they made their home. Floyd has been a resident of the western slope for 50 +yrs. He owned his own trucking company and was a mining supervisor for many years. Over 90yrs of dedication, loyalty, and faithfulness to his walk in life. He had a fierce love for his family, passion for horses and roping, as well as a legacy that his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren will carry on.
Floyd is survived by his spouse Leddy of Delta Colo. His children Corky Bowdish of Florence Az., Darla (Ray)Haptonstall of Delta Co. Rick Bowdish (Marion) of Grand Jct. Co and Rocky Bowdish (Terri) of Mustang Ok. Along with 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 12 great great-grandchildren.
Floyd is preceded in death by his parents Craig and Elmira, his brothers and sisters Lela Anderson, Lawrence Bowdish, Ruby Lantis, Zada McCallum, Roy Bowdish, Ralph Bowdish, Ed Bowdish.
Services will be held at a later date, yet to be determined.
