Floyd Browning Obituary
Floyd Browning, age 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at his home in Cortland surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Browning had a strong faith, and he was a lifetime and very active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Borchers, where he was baptized in Christ, confirmed in faith, and united in holy marriage to his wife, Carol. Floyd was a Luther League sponsor and served on the church council.

Floyd also took great pride in being part of the original group that organized the Hamilton Township Volunteer Fire Department.
Floyd had a passion for vacationing with his wife and family and their friends, Dee and Glen and Betty and Art. He also enjoyed visiting his Amish friends, driving his horse and buggy for many years, collecting toy tractors, mowing grass, and caring for his pony, Rosie.
Family was the center of Floyd's life. His deep love for them was evident in all he did. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he will be remembered with love and missed by all who knew him.
Born on February 22, 1935, at his home in Honeytown, Floyd was the son of Otis and Lorraine Browning, both of whom preceded him in death. On April 24, 1955, he married the love of his life, Carol Jane Helwig, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Borchers.
