It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Floyd F Cross, who departed this life peacefully on January 24th, 2026. He was born August 27th, 1934, to Buford & Cora Cross in Caruthersville, MO.

Visitation will be at Forest-Hill East Funeral Home located at 2440 Whitten Road from 1:00 – 2:00pm. Service will be at 2:00 pm & burial will follow the service, at 3:00pm.

Bro. Bruce Barger will officiate the service.

He married Betty Jean Yarborough in the mid 1970's & they were married for about 13 years. He was known for his quick wit, infectious laughter, and generosity. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.

Floyd was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean Cross; his parents Buford & Cora Cross; his brothers, David Cross, Gene Cross, Dennis Cross, Donald Cross and his sisters, Birdie McCollum & Shellie Bane.

Floyd is survived by his children Gail Lile (David), Liz Plunk, Jeff Cross (Heather), his brothers Larry Cross, Charles Cross, Villus Cross; his sisters, Helen Gurley, Claire Richardson, Nancy Cross; 4 Grandchildren & 5 Great-Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Keith Barger, Johnathan Yarbrough, Bryson Carr, Scott Ledbetter, David Strube & Tristen McClanahan.

The family of Floyd Cross wants to extend sincere thanks to the nurses at The Crossing at Riverside & Gentiva Hospice Care for their compassionate care during his final days.
