Floyd Embrey Obituary
A graveside service has been set for Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Highland Cemetery Pavilion in Deport, Texas. Rickey McFadden will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the cemetery on Sunday.
She was born in Charlie, Texas on June 15, 1935 to William Joseph and Eula Naomi Curington. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was loved by the many clients and providers as she served as Field Supervisor for Jordan Health Services for over 25 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Yulon Basinger; daughter-in-law, Joyce Basinger; granddaughter, Heidi Slaughter and spouse Rex; 2 great-grandchildren, Haley and Natalie Slaughter; niece, Yuvonia Mardis and extended nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Embrey; daughter, Tonja Basinger Murray; son, Gregory William Basinger; parents; 2 sisters; 2 brothers.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to a charity of one's choice.
The family wants to give a special thanks to Brandi, April, Lucy, Lovice, Kacy and Yuvonia for their love and care.
