Floyd Evans "Junior" Howard Jr.

Floyd Evans Howard, Jr, 76, resident of Ripley, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 25, 2025. He was born May 23, 1948, in Hickory Flat, MS to the late Floyd & Noer Smith Howard.
Floyd was an avid mechanic for several years until he took a job as an over the road truck driver before retiring. He enjoyed watching drag racing, family game shows and having cook-outs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd & Noer Smith Howard, one brother, Charles Howard, sisters, Beulah "Bea" Walker, Helen Novarise, one grandchild, Preston Lee Collins, and a great grandchild, Hunter Scott Howard.
Memories will continue to be shared by his five children, Belinda Gail Hughes (Jason) of Norton, VA, Tammy Lee Howard, Danny Scott Howard (Linda), Angela Lynn Collins (Leroy) and Stacie Jean Hamilton (Tony) all of Coeburn, VA, brothers, Billy Joe Howard (Jeanine) of Ripley, Larry Joe Howard (Diane) of Hickory Flat, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Special thanks are extended to the staff of Diversicare for the care given to Floyd for the 51/2 years he resided there.
