Mr Floyd Bernard McCarty

I knew Floyd first when I worked for Schmid Labs against his powerhouse at Youngs. He always approached me with his great sense of humor and wise advise. He was a worthy competitor in the retail world. We also became co-workers when our past employers eliminated our jobs. Together we had a good time learning from one another. I am saddened to hear of his passing and I know his memory will provide strength for his family.

I came to know Floyd as a competitor when I worked for Schmid Labs against his powerhouse of Youngs. He always provided me with humor and wise advise under those circumstances. We then found our selves as co-workers in the changing retail environment and we continued to learn from one another. I am saddened by his passing and am sure his memory keeps his family strong.

There was only one Floyd in this world. God threw out the mold, and I'm grateful for the the 43 years I knew Floyd. We worked together for Yongs Drug Products and subsequently for Carter Products. He was a consummate salesman and was the leading District Manager. He won many awards and had the respect of all for his professionalism blended with good humor. No one could tell a story like Floyd. We stayed in touch over the years and spoke a few weeks before his passing. I held him in great esteem as a hard-working man who loved his family. His sense of humor and companionship will be greatly missed, but I suspect he is having a great time in heaven with Stan, Harley, Freddy and Lou. Please keep an eye out for us my dear friend.
