It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of Floyd John McStay, known to many as Homer, of Las Vegas, NV. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 6, 2025. Floyd was born on February 21, 1952, in Redding, California, to parents John D. and Crystal V. McStay. He graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1970 and served in the Army from 1977 to 1984.
Floyd was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved to collect rocks and gems and share stories. Floyd was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Russel, Glen, and Lester; his sister Ester; and his sons Scott M. Vittorio and Sean P. Vittorio. He is survived by his brother TJ Mcstay ,ex-wife Mary McStay; his son Stephen P. McStay; his daughter Suzanne E. Humphries; his 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren and his best friend John Yeagle
