Fonda Lynn Jackson

It is with great sadness that the Jackson family of Peachtree City, Georgia, announce the passing of Fonda Lynn Jackson on Thursday, October 30th, 2025, aged 60. Fonda rarely spoke more than two sentences at a time, and when that happened it was surely to inquire about others. Always eager to serve, she was never boastful, always engaging, humble, but confident, endearing herself to family, friends, associates, students, church members, and the entire community with her adored spirit. Her many accolades and talents, which included Colquit County High School valedictorian, law school honor graduate, three time all state chorus, just to name a few, were only brought to light when her proud husband of 31 years made mention of her superlatives. A quick wit, she could leave a lasting impression and memory with a faint smile and a handful of words. Fonda fell in love with a boy from Tifton, a town not too far from her own, but many years after she had left the small south central rural Georgia community to pursue a study of the law at the University of Georgia upon graduating from Mercer. She met her beloved James Edward Jackson while in Athens where Ed had begun his studies following his service in the United States Marine Corp. They had in common an affection for travel, good food and wine, the Dawgs and knowing that their lives would be enriched raising a loving family together. Married in 1994, they settled in Peachtree City, Ga, where Ed ran a successful commercial landscape business. Fonda did many things while raising their three boys and Douglas the parrot, including legal research as a clerk on the Ga Court of Appeals, and as a teacher at Kedron Elementary School in Peachtree City.
Although Fonda's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be Eternal and a blessing to all who were graced by her presence.
Fonda was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Reba Ellis; siblings Calvin, Ronny, Stephen, and Van, and is survived and dearly missed by her loving husband Ed and their sons, James, Joseph and Thomas Jackson (Carolyn), Barbara Van Vlake (Daughters Tina, Debbie, Torina). She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
The family will receive friends at the Peachtree City Christian Church, 500 Kedron Drive
Peachtree City, GA on Sunday, November 2nd, 2-3 PM. Services and reception to follow. Fonda will be interred at Oakridge Cemetery on Magnolia Drive in Tifton, GA on Monday, November 3rd, 1 pm.
Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Rest in peace in the loving arms of Jesus sweet Fonda.
