Forrest,
I remember you were the 1st person that I met before we started Freshman year. I had just moved there that summer. You and Steven Foster were at the basketball court down the street from the high school. I remember all those trips to Hot Springs when mom would not let me drive her car because I was in trouble for something stupid I did. I remember that prom night when all the guys that didnt take dates to the prom, we took a big group photo. I remember that night You, me, Nathan Goodman, and Chris Barnabus rode in Chris's car to see The Billy Graham Crusade. We had really great conversations on the long ride back from Little Rock. I think that mom still has those graduation pictures we took together. This past March sitting in your living room and laughing at all the old times and catching up on the latest news of some of the people we used to hang out with.
You were tough not just physically but mentally as well. I remember leaving your living room that day being inspired by your positive energy and how hopeful you were about beating your illness. I would not trade those 2 hours I had with you that day for anything. I love you like a brother.
