Mr. Forrest Bud Lyons

Forrest D. (Bud) Lyons, 79, of Hallsville, Mo. passed away Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Boone Hospital Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 23, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Jed Angell officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Bud was born September 23, 1927 in Columbia, the son of Fred and Lera Pinson Lyons. He was a graduate of Hallsville High School. He was a farmer and was also the owner and operator of Lyons Trucking his entire life. Bud served in the United States Army during WWII. Survivors include three daughters, Brenda West, and husband Kenny, of Hallsville, Pam Thomas, and her husband Jerry, of Ashland, Susan Talley, and her husband Bruce, of Auxvasse; one son, Robert Lyons, of Hallsville; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, Fred Lyons, of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Howard D. Lyons; granddaughter, Cara. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 1900 N. Providence Rd., Columbia, MO 65202.
