I want to extend my sincere condolences to Rik´s family and friends. I have many fond memories from the Ice Palace watching my daughter Jane learning to skate to eventually taking lessons myself. Rick was always pleasant and very encouraging to all the skaters. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers

So sad to hear of Rik's passing...Rik with a "k" referred to me as Lore with an "e".... he was my first skating coach, as an adult skater and king of blade sharpening....we spent many hours skating as a pair practicing those edges and working on my first program....he was such a great guy and will be missed by many....rest in peace Rik....thoughts and prayers to all, take comfort in your wonderful memories
