Fotis Spetsieris

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Fotis Spetsieris on April 29, 2024, at the age of 78 A longtime resident of Astoria, Queens, Fotis was known for his love of fishing, sports cars, and his deep affection for New York City, which always held a special place in his heart. Born with a spirit of adventure, Fotis dreamed of returning to his beloved Kefalonia in his retirement years. He spent his career in various capacities, dedicating himself fully until his retirement. His joyous and loving nature was a beacon of light to all who knew him. Fotis was a devoted husband to his wife, Venetoula, and a loving father to his only son, Jerry. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and the moments they shared together were filled with deep love and laughter. Fotis was predeceased by his parents Anna and Gerasimos. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness, remembered by his family and friends as a truly great man whose presence will be profoundly missed. Fotis's wisdom, humor, and compassion brought immense joy to those around him. He will forever be in our thoughts and hearts. The memorial service will be held at St. Catherine's Church in Astoria, on Friday at 11:30 AM.
