Foy Catherine Scott Moser

Foy Catherine Scott Moser, 93, of Dobson, North Carolina passed away peacefully Thursday, November 27, 2025. Born December 15, 1931, in Surry County, to the late Arvil Kester Scott and Nora Samuel Scott. She worked in the banking industry in Dobson for 36 years, retiring from First Union Bank. Foy was a true joy to be around, always having a smile on her face she could brighten anyone’s day. A faithful Christian with a servant’s heart, she always put everyone else’s needs above her own. She loved nothing more than cooking for her family and her first question when anyone walked into her home was “are you hungry, have you eaten?” She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother that leaves behind a legacy of love to her family. Left to cherish her memory is her daughters and sons-in-law, Avis M. Quesinberry and Keith, and Tonya M. Key and Grayson; son and daughter-in-law, Butch Moser and Lori; grandchildren, Laura Whitaker and Benjamin, Corey Moser and Katelyn, Kristin Smith and Austin, and Savannah Key; as well as 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 49 years, Wilfred O’Neil Moser; sisters, Imogene Scott, Lois Scott Nixon, Veva Scott Martin, Oleen Scott Haymore, and Kay Scott Garnder; and brothers, Clifford Odell Scott, Graham Oakley Scott, Jackie Wesley Scott, Rex Arvil Scott, and Dean Lowell Scott. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Salem Fork Christian Church with the funeral immediately following the visitation with Pastor Austin Caviness officiating. A special thank you to Pastor Scott Meadows for faithfully delivering communion to Foy on Sundays. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Skilled Nursing unit at Northern Regional Hospital for the love and compassionate care they extended to Foy during her stay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northern Regional Hospital, Skilled Nursing Unit, at P.O. Box 1101, Mount Airy, NC 27030 or to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care at P.O.
