Frances Joan Tenley

December 13, 1936 – April 5, 2025

Frances Joan Tenley, 88, of Orlando, Florida passed away Saturday April 5th, 2025, in her home in Orlando, Florida. She was born in the Panama Canal Zone, Republic of Panama. She was the daughter of Samuel Edward Russell and Marjorie Beth Russell, both of Orlando. She was married to Donald Myles Stinson and later to Herbert Arnold Tenley, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by her three sons, David Allen Stinson (Darlene C. O’Hara), Donald Garrett Stinson (Christine M. Stinson) and Russell Scott Stinson (Raul A Salinas). She was blessed with three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Jeffrey Garrett Stinson (wife Shannon N), children Mackenzie Grace, Corbin Walker and Gavin Myles. Andrew Linville Stinson (wife Brandi N.) child Addyson Lois. Shannon Lynn Stinson, child Emmalynn Grace.

She grew up in the community of Lockhart, Florida with her siblings Robert Russell (d), Carol Ayala (d), Sonia Totman, Marilyn Russell and James Russell (d).

She was a bookkeeper by trade and worked for several car dealerships. She was also the Secretary of the Central Florida Title Association. In her later years she was a telemarketer for the Orlando Sentinel.

Spending time with her family was her greatest joy. She dearly loved her ‘boys’, her grandchildren and her brothers and sisters. In her younger years she enjoyed horseback riding, water skiing and fishing. She also loved to write poems about her beloved family. She was also a huge animal lover and had dogs most of her life.
