Francene C. Rozman, a beacon of love, courage, and dedication, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, in
Hackensack, New Jersey. Born on October 6, 1950, in
Passaic, New Jersey, Francene lived a life defined by compassion, intellect, and an unwavering commitment to her family, her students, and her community.
Francene was the beloved wife of Robert J. Rozman, with whom she shared a beautiful and enduring marriage of fifty-three years. Together, they raised two cherished children, Cathlin Sweeney and her husband Jeffrey, and Robert Carl Rozman and his wife Carla Furtado. Her greatest joy came with the arrival of her grandchildren, Matthew, Ella, and Connor, who will forever treasure the warmth, guidance, and adventures shared with their devoted grandmother.
She was the loving daughter of the late Charles and Catherine Casalbore and grew up in
Clifton, New Jersey. Francene is survived by her dear sister, Maryann Ricca and her husband Richard, and her brother, Carl Casalbore and his wife Joanne, with whom she shared a lifetime of close family bonds.
A proud graduate of Pope Pius High School in Passaic, Francene pursued higher education at Montclair State College, where she earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees, and later at Kean University, where she obtained her Supervisor's License. Her professional life reflected her passion for education and excellence. She dedicated many years to the Lodi Board of Education, serving as a chemistry teacher and later as Science Supervisor at Lodi High School, where she left a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues.
Beyond her career, Francene was a faithful parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Clifton. She was an avid traveler who embraced adventure, enjoying many cruises to destinations near and far. Most dear to her heart, however, were summers spent with family at the Jersey Shore in North Wildwood, where cherished memories were made by the sea.
Francene was a creative, thoughtful soul who met life's challenges with grace, strength, and optimism. Her legacy of love, dedication, and inspiration will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
