Frances M. Barker, age 71, of Worthville, Owen County, Kentucky, passed away on November 14, 2023, in Edgewood, Kenton County, Kentucky. Born on May 31, 1952, in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, Frances leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that touched the lives of many.
Frances was a hardworking individual who took pride in her career. She dedicated her time and efforts to the maintenance department of Doorman's in Warsaw, KY.
She graduated from Valley High School in Louisville, KY, with the Class of 1970. Outside of work and education, Frances had a few favorite pastimes that brought her immense joy. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending quality time with her loyal furry companion, Snoopy. Her enthusiasm for these activities was evident to all who knew her.
Frances is survived by several cherished family members and friends who will deeply miss her presence. Her daughter Jessica Rosemarie (Mark) Taylor of Lexington, IN; son Zachary James (Beth Anne) Newpower of Monroe, MI; sisters Mary Catherine (Robert) Stevenson of Louisville, KY; Phyllis Ann (Steve) Cushing of Louisville KY; Anita Noreen (Richard) White of Vancouver WA; brothers Danny (Sue Carroll) Barker of Louisville, KY; James Jay (Glenda) Barker of Louisville, KY; and her grandchildren Kyle James Taylor, Autumn Marie Taylor, Isabelle Ann Michelle Taylor, Natalie Rae Trent, Mia Ryan Hensley,and Delaney Clark Hensley will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She held her two dear friends, Jimmy and Jennifer Smith of Worthville, KY, close to her heart. Several nieces and nephews also survive her. Frances was predeceased by her parents Freddy Mack Barker and Doris Rose Rogers Barker.
To honor Frances's life and share cherished memories, a visitation will take place at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home on Saturday, November 18, 2023. The visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and conclude at 2:00 PM. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM. at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Worthville Cemetery in Worthville, KY.
