Frances Brooks Obituary
She is survived by her sons, David Brooks (Brenda) and Michael Brooks (Debra); daughter-in-law Sherry Brooks; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Queen Johnson; her husband, Melvin Brooks; sons Sammy Johnson and Jimmy Brooks; and her five siblings.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg with Pastor Tim Dobson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Brooks Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Brooks Sr., Michael Brooks II, Chad Young, Ricky Payne, Josh Mastin, Joshua Hunt, and Charles Weadon Jr.
