I have many fond memories of the many Drew reunions in Manasquan that were lovingly organized by Fran with some help by my Uncle Jack. But Fran was the energetic force behind those every-three-year gatherings. She made sure myself and my cousins all had places to stay for free for an entire week at the shore. Fran made sure we all had what we needed: bedding, towels for home and beach, and some beach chairs. She cared about having us all be together in meaningful ways by planning many fun activities for as many as wanted to participate. A splendid example of this were the bike rides for which she made sure she had borrowed enough bikes for all. She had such a great sense of fun and a wonderful sense of humor, wry at times. I will miss her for sure!

Fran was a tremendously civic minded person that was never shy about voicing her considered opinions and standing up for the things she felt benefitted the community and made Chatham a better place for all of us. She also possessed a wonderful sense of humor and was generous to a fault.
Chatham will miss you Fran - may you rest in peace.

Fran was one of the kindest people my family and I have ever met. She was committed to doing good in the world, and could not be deterred from supporting a cause she believed in. We are deeply saddened by her passing. Her warmth and generosity will never be forgotten

I have been witness in the 66 years of our friendship to the unfailing intelligence, creativity, passion, and dogged determination to the many successful causes Fran undertook. She made the world a better place with her generosity and caring, all with a great sense of fun. She was a unique and energetic force. We feel lucky to have time with her

We were instant friends from when we met freshman year at The College of St. Elizabeth in September of 1959. She was brilliant, creative, and such fun. A remarkable person and a beloved friend.

It is with deep sadness that I acknowledge the death of Fran Drew. Fran was my first contact in Manasquan when I came to open a bookstore in 2007. She was so supportive. She wanted the bookstore to succeed and did everything to support us. In the years to follow she and Jack stopped in and followed the success of BookTowne. She loved Manasquan and worked to support everything good in the town. Thank you Fran

I was stunned to learn this morning of Fran´s passing. She & her husband Jack, were passionate about so many causes. During my time on the Chatham Borough Council, Fran would always stand up for the causes she deeply believed in. Her love of trees & nature was legendary. She saved the Glimmer Glass Bridge in Manasquan. She donated the funds to restore the Chatham Borough Gazebo at Reasoner Park. She did so much more, the list could be endless. We became good friends & I am blessed she came into my life. My condolences to the family & friends on the loss of a remarkable human being.
