Frances Marie DeBerry Fair, 85 of Oak Hill, Florida formerly of Taneytown, MD passed away on Thursday, February 5th, 2026 at the Halifax Hospice Care Center, Port Orange, FL after a battle with cancer. She was born October 26th, 1940 in Emmitsburg, MD. Frances is survived by one sister, Anna L. Adelsberger of Thurmont, MD and one brother, Stephen W. DeBerry, wife Judy DeBerry of Westminster MD/Oak Hill, FL, and nieces Amy Wiley and husband Scott, Edgewater Fl, Jill Cumberland and husband John, Westminster MD, nephews Terry Adelsberger, Delta PA, and Brian Adelsberger, Fairfield PA. Sister in laws Wanda Lawerence, and Wilma Liller her husband's twin sister, Taneytown, MD, and many nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, and her loving cat Repeat. She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude W. and Beatrice M. (Engle) DeBerry, and her husband, Wayne "Reds" A. Fair who passed on January 26th, 2020. Nieces Kathy and Kimberly Adelsberger, and brother in law Eugene Adelsberger of Thurmont, MD. Sister in laws June Bachota, Cecelia Lambert, Doris Young, Janet Smith, Lois Shorb, Margeret Wetzel. Brother in laws Harold "Booty" Fair Sr, and Wilbur "Whitey" Fair. Frances was a 1958 graduate of Emmittsburg High School, Emmittsburg MD, an X-Ray Technician with the State of Maryland Dept of Health and Mental Hygiene till her retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed quilting, sewing, making her husband Reds special shirts, working in the garden, and was a pet lover. She was a member of the Keysville Lutheran Church, Keysville, MD, Ladies Auxiliary VFW 6918 in Harney, MD, Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 120 in Taneytown, MD, Shriners of North America, and Maryland Classified Employees Association, Unc. Chapter 152. Honoring her wishes she will be cremated and placed next to her husband, Reds at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater, Fl. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
