Frances Jean Hager

Frances Jean "Frannie" Hager, of Dillsburg, PA, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital – Grand View Campus, Sellersville, PA. She was 86.

She was the loving wife of the late R. Lamar Hager until his passing on October 19, 2006.

Born in Sellersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Freeman and Minnie Moriah (Hoot) Fox, and the sister of the late Robert D. Fox of Perkasie. She was a 1957 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie, PA.

Mrs. Hager was employed as the Branch Manager for First Federal Savings & Loan, Dillsburg, for over 20 years. She also was an antiques dealer, working as a vendor at various fairs and auctions throughout the region. In her retirement, Frannie volunteered at the Dillsburg Thrift Store.

She was a member of Hope Grace Church, Dillsburg, where she was an active participant in its Bible studies.

Her passions included antiquing, crafting, shopping, and traveling with her husband in her younger years. She was also an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles fan. She was especially fond of playing bingo and cards with her friends. Frannie loved country music and will be remembered for her great sense of humor and her love for telling jokes.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Miriam B. Fox, of Sellersville, PA; three nieces, Cynthia L. Zamroz and her husband Walter, of Souderton, PA, Sheila D. Fox, of Franconia Twp., PA, and Monica J. Fox, of Baltimore, MD; and a number of grand nieces, grand nephews, great-grand nieces and great-grand nephews.

Her Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Tohickon Union Cemetery, Weisel, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Grace Church, 110 Old York Road, Dillsburg, PA 17019.
