Frances Louise Heffington, age 93, went to be with her heavenly father on October 18, 2025. Born August 29, 1932, she was the only child of the late Wilbur and Jewel (Aldridge) Dougherty. She was the wife of the late Alvie Heffington.
Frances first started her career working for Southwestern Bell. Later she and Alvie built and operated the Lyn Lu Drive Inn in Heber Springs, Arkansas for several years. She also joined Beverly Health Dietary Team.
Frances was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Heber Spring where she taught Sunday School and helped serve meals on Wednesday for years. She enjoyed the girls' trips with Bobbie, Linda and Rose and the 4th of July vacations with Norma.
Frances loved the Razorbacks, Silver Sneakers exercise classes and drinking the water at Spring Park and volunteering at Cleburne County Cares, where she was awarded Volunteer of the Year. But most of all she loved her family.
She was a sweet mother to Lujean (Eddy) Peters of Little Rock Ar., Bryan (Ellen) Heffington Edmond, Ok., Kaaren (Walt) English of Heber Springs, Ar. and grandmother to Colton, Jessica, Blake and Christian, Great grandmother to Travis, Mason, and Ellie.
A special thanks to Dr. Beck and her Staff at UMAS House Calls, Shannon and Jill from P.T, Hospice Homecare Staff and her long-time caregiver Gerrie.
Visitation will be held Thursday 23rd from 10am to 11am at Renew Church of Heber Springs Arkansas, Services to follow.
