FRANCES GENEVIEVE JONES Frances Genevieve Jones, 91, of Ottawa, Kansas passed away Monday, May 19, 2025, at the Rock Creek Facility in Ottawa, Kansas. She was born December 13, 1933, in Overbrook, Kansas the daughter of Eugene James Tregemba and Hazel Estella (Bray) Tregemba. She graduated from Overbrook High School in Overbrook, KS. On March 15, 1953, Frances was united in marriage with Donald F. Jones at Overbrook, Kansas. They were blessed with fifty-eight years together before Don's passing on August 21, 2011. Frances worked as an Insurance Admin Supervisor at Franklin Savings in Ottawa, Kansas for fifteen years. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Ottawa, KS, and taught Sunday school for fifteen years. Frances served on the Ottawa, Kansas Friends of the Library Board. She also enjoyed quilting, working on the computer, reading, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Hazel Tregemba; husband, Donald F. Jones; son, Alan Jones; daughter, Judy Ann Jones; and a sister, Dorothy F. Clark. The surviving family includes three sisters, Betty J. Wells of Millington, Michigan, Elaine Wolfe of Ledbetter, Kentucky, and Lila M. Abram of Ottawa, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory, Ottawa, KS 66067. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, KS. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 28thprior, at the funeral home.
