Frances Ann Petty King, 87, resident of Parrish Hollow Road in Lynnville, TN died Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Gibsonville Cemetery with Brother Milton Stephens officiating. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.
She was born on July 21, 1938 in Columbia, TN to the late Hershel Petty and the late Hattie Witherspoon Petty. Frances enjoyed flowers, Christmas, cooking, shopping and watching the Atlanta Braves. She was an avid animal lover, and loved life itself. Frances never met a stranger and made new friends everywhere she went. She was a retired nurse tech at Life Care Center and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, James H. King of Lynnville; brother in law, Rickey King; daughter in law, Linda King; several nieces and nephews; friends, Mickey and Diedra Hickman that were dear friends that were there when she needed them; cousins, James & Lynn Morton whom she loved very much and was always there for her; friend, Jonie Smith who she cared for deeply because of the great love and comfort that she was to her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph King; daughter, Rebecca Baker; stepson, Wilson King; two brothers, Jimmy Petty and Leon Petty.
Special thanks to the staff at Maury Regional Medical Center who provided her with excellent care.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers and Randal Baker as an honorary pallbearer.
