Frances LaMonica Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Givnish Funeral Home - Cinnaminson on Aug. 31, 2025.
Frances Marie LaMonica, 85, of Delran, NJ, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, at the age of 85. She was born in Bryn Mawr, PA, on September 22, 1939, to the late William and Beatrice Gavin. Frances was the devoted wife of 60 years to the late Joseph Paul LaMonica, who passed away earlier this year. She was the beloved mother of Darren LaMonica, Kim Coluzzi (Joseph), Joey LaMonica, and Anthony LaMonica (Laurie); cherished grandmother of Marisa Follet (Michael), Alexa Coluzzi, Isabella Coluzzi, Avery LaMonica, Brayden LaMonica, and Addison LaMonica; and dear sister of the late Ann Price (late Russell). Raised in Havertown, PA, Frances was a proud graduate of West Catholic Girls High School in Philadelphia. She became a longtime resident of Delran, NJ, where she was deeply involved in her community. She served as Delran PTA President, was a member of the Delran Government Council, and volunteered as a legislative aide for Assemblywoman Barbara Kalick. Frances also worked with Catholic Charities, the NJ Judiciary Courts-driving people to and from their court cases-and volunteered at women's shelters. In addition, Frances served for many years on the Democratic Committee for Burlington County, often hosting gatherings with her husband Joseph. She loved entertaining, always ensuring everyone was welcomed and well-fed. She was also an avid dog lover. With her free time, she enjoyed ceramics, music-attending many concerts of her favorite artist, Neil Diamond-and watching the Phillies. Above all, Frances found her greatest joy and purpose in being a loving mother and grandmother, she never missed a sporting match, dance recital or school event. Fran will be deeply missed for her kind soul, compassion, and love for her family. Family and friends are invited to a gathering on Thursday, September 4th, at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson. .
